Throwback. France Roadtrip 2015.... La Dune De Pilat

"collect moments.... not things"

If not mistaken, it is 6th day in France. From Toulouse to Bordeaux, we stop by at this sand hill call Dune Du Pilat aka Dune of Pilat.

pasir..... semua pasir.... pasir je nih.... hehehehe.
but it is stunning and  bukit pasir ni located in La Teste-de-Buch at the Arcachon Bay area, France, 60 km from Bordeaux.

mongah mongah betul kitorg berdua panjat nak smpi ke puncak atas..... mat saleh ngn anak2 eh slumber je berlari ke atas..... owh, stamina. mane la ko hilang.... hahahahaahahah
sini ramai buat activity paragliding, sandboarding.....atau lepak2 je mcm kitorg.... hehehehe.
as u can see, laut terbentang luas...hahahahahaah. sebelah je....

interesting fact : 

1. according to scientists it is moving 1 to 5,5 meters inland each year.
2. The dune is considered a foredune, meaning a dune that runs parallel to a shoreline, behind the high tide line of a beach
3. On 24 January 2009, a peak windspeed of 175 km/h (109 mph) was recorded during a storm at the dune, damaging the dune
